True. Babies are amazing.
Also true, you don’t feel so amazing.
You’ve waited to meet yours for months and months so when they finally arrive…wow! It’s hard to believe so much joy could be swaddled up in such a tiny bundle. But there is. From their adorable noggin to their itty bitty little toes, your baby is the apple of your eye.
Soon your home and life together as a family begins.
You do the very best you can but sooner or later things are not quite how you imagined.
I mean you knew you’d be tired and tried to prepare mentally for those sleepless nights.
This is bad.
You are exhausted and it’s not because you’ve read every book from the library it’s because every time you can actually lay down, youre back up again.
It’s an endless cycle of baby-barely-falls-asleep to baby-is-wide-awake-crying and you’re in a cold sweat.
It can feel like a dark tunnel with no end in sight.
That’s too much to handle, especially for one person.
That’s why you’re here though, and I’m glad you made it.
Hi Mama, I’m Bethany and I know what you’re going through.
After receiving my training and certification as a doula, sleep coach, and lactation consultant I started helping moms directly to establish and/or maintain a sleep schedule that allows the entire family to get a good night’s rest.
More important than any of the letters after my name, I have two of my own that call me “mommy”. I’ve been in your shoes. I think that’s why it is so very important to me to find solutions that work for each family.
And yes, a solution for you too.
Just like these past families.
Part of what makes my approach better than any book you’ve read or best friend Janet advice you’ve been given is we look comprehensively at your parenting style, baby’s temperament, living arrangements, personalities and more.
There’s too much going on in your living-breathing-evolving life that your solution shouldn’t be a bandaid approach of what worked for someone else.
That’s why with me we caught right the chase and I meet you where you are with something that works for your baby tonight.
