Hey there! I'm Bethany...
…sleep consultant, doula, lactation consultant..I could tell you all the letters I put after my name (and I totally will if you want me to!) but that’s not really who I am and it’s not about what I do.
Plus, the most important thing I’m called is mommy, hands down!
I started my journey to help moms in 2014 when I knew I needed to transform a few things about postpartum life for women: access to reliable resources, help with lactation and sleep and, most importantly, to be a voice to remind every mom out there what #realmomlife is and also to tell them every day that they are enough. It’s my belief that empowering moms is half the battle because we feel so judged, alone and like we are doing every little thing wrong. So, I’m on a mission to redefine and reshape postpartum – it’s a big challenge but I’m handling it pretty well so far.
Sleep and lactation are a focus in my practice because they are two things I am REALLY good at helping with. They are also two things I struggled with as a new mom and knew they were areas I could change…so I became certified and started changing lives 😉
When it comes to sleep specifically, I’ve been able to help HUNDREDS of families get more sleep (such a wonderful feeling to say that!) and it’s because of my gentle, trust your mom gut approach. I will never tell you to do anything that doesn’t feel right and in the end trusting your gut and making some minor adjustments is typically all that is needed.
When it comes to motherhood, in general, you will never ever hear me tell you that there is a right or wrong way to do anything. I just don’t subscribe to that one size fits all parenting, or pretty much anything, method. That’s not my style and I don’t believe it gets us anywhere to have that kind of mindset.
Motherhood isn’t a job, it’s part of life – a really, really, really important, redefining part of our lives. I’m not here to point and demand you change, I’m here to hold your hand and walk through it all with you.
I look forward to getting to know you soon, mama!
